Heavy Rains Cause Mudslides in Houston County
September 13, 2005

The same weather system that caused flash flooding over central Minnesota on September 12th and the early hours of the 13th caused more flooding rains over southeast Minnesota during the afternnon on September 13. The counties that were hardest hit in Minnesota were Houston and Winona. Mudslides were reported in Houston County in southeast Minnesota. The most rain reported in Minnesota was 2.61 inches at Caledonia. 2.35 inches of rain fell 1 mile NNW of La Crescent.
