Streak of at or Above Normal Temperatures in the Twin Cities:
December 22, 2005 to February 3, 2006

The stretch of at or above normal temperatures in the Twin Cities ended at 44 days. This streak began on December 22, 2005 and lasted until February 3, 2006. While this is quite a few days, it falls short of some of the longer stretches in the last dozen years. From October 28 to December 23, 2001 the average temperature was at or above normal for 57 consecutive days. Another memorable period was 52 days from January 16 to March 8, 1998. -
