forecast calling for high temperatures to range from 55 to 65
degrees F around the state, several communities may set record
cold maximum temperatures for this date.   Historically, the 
lowest maximum temperatures ever recorded on July 3rd for 
selected Minnesota communities are listed below....(only those
less than 65 degrees F were considered)


Minneapolis/St. Paul 62 F in 1927, 63 F in 1967, and 65 F in 1917 and 1932

Hibbing              54 F in 1967, 60 F in 1972, 62 F in 1992, and 3 other 
                     years below 65 F
Duluth               55 F in 1972, 56 F in 1951, 57 F in 1967 and 1991, and
                     11 other years below 65 F
International Falls  56 F in 1967, 59 F in 1992, 60 F in 1898,
                     and 3 other years below 65 F
Worthington          62 F in 1967
Redwood Falls        67 F in 1967
St Cloud             57 F in 1927, 60 F in 1932, 61 F in 1967, 65 F in 1951
Alexandria           61 F in 1967, 65 F in 1951
Bemidji              55 F in 1992, 60 F in 1967, 61 F in 1970, and 6 other 
                     years below 65 F
Fergus Falls         58 F in 1992, 60 F in 1927, 64 F in 1915 and 1967
