Jumbo Snowflakes April 2, 2001 
        A spingtime snowfall dropped snowflakes of enormous proportions over parts of the Twin Cities 
        and west-central Wisconsin. Temperatures were near freezing at the surface (0 degrees C), while the teperatures
        a few thousand feet above the ground were around 25 degrees F (-4 degrees C).
        Here are some of the sizes that were reported to the National Weather Service. 
         
        Maplewood 2.5 to 2.75 inches  
        Stillwater 2.0 inches 
        River Falls, WI 1.5 inches  
        Stanley, WI 1.0 inches
