Latest One Inch Snowfall for Twin Cities
Snowfall measurements made at the Twin Cities International Airport exceeded one inch on January 21, 2005. This will be the first one inch snowfall (in a calendar day) of the 2004-2005 winter season in the Twin Cities. This is the latest occurrence of the first one inch snowfall in the modern record. The previous record was set during the winter of 1944-1945 (January 9). This will be a difficult record to break in the future.
