Least Amount of Snowfall for Season so far on Record in the Twin Cities

Seasonal snowfall through January 3 totaled only 2.8 inches at the Twin Cities International Airport. The half inch of sleet that fell on New Year's Day does count as snow. Despite the sleet storm, the winter of 2004-05 so far has the least amount of snow measured at the Twin Cities official snow measuring site in 114 years of records. Normal seasonal snowfall through January 3rd is 21.8 inches. The greatest seasonal snowfall to date was in 1991-92 with an astounding 61.8 inches. What does this say for the rest of the winter? Three of the 11 least snowiest seasons to date are in the bottom ten least amount of snow for an entire season.
