Snow on November 3-4, 2003

The first significant snow of the season for central and southern Minnesota blanketed the area with one to six inches of snow. The heaviest snow was over central and northern Minnesota. Little Falls saw around half a foot of snow and Askov in Pine County picked up 7 inches. Southeastern parts of the state escaped the brunt of the accumulating snows due to some warmer temperatures. Most of the roads across the Twin Cities were mainly wet, but the snow left a pretty postcard appearance on area trees and surrounding landscape. This was the earliest one inch or more season snowfall for the Twin Cities since November, 1997 when an inch of snow fell on November 2nd.

Listed below are some snowfall totals from this event courtesy the National Weather Service.
