Quick Burst of Snow Across Minnesota:
January 31 to February 1, 2006
A quick burst of snow began during the evening of January 31, 2006 continued through the early morning hours of February 1. There was a sharp cutoff to the snow across the Twin Cities with the northwest suburbs receiving the most snow. Plymouth picked up four inches with the Twin Cities airport only seeing .2 (two-tenths of an inch) The snow was occasionally mixed at times with sleet over the Twin Cities. Central and Northern Minnesota also saw several inches of snow.
