Windy December 12, 2004
On Sunday, December 12, 2004 there was a taste of winter in the form of a powerful Alberta Clipper.
Snow fell over northeast Minnesota while the rest of the state had very gusty winds. The peak
wind gust was 71 mph near Welch in northern Goodhue County. The National Weather Service issued
the following statements about the snow and wind.
